International Conference on Human Sustainability or INSAN was initiated from the awareness to discuss about future issues and challenges on human sustainability from social sciences and humanities multidisciplinary.

 

A series of conference organised on 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 has successfully attained more than 600 participants and presenters from Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Thailand, Japan, Nigeria, Italy, Iran and Iraq. For 2018, the 5th year of this conference, it is anticipated that more participation will come from academician and researchers from various universities and countries.

This year conference focuses on human sustainability and humanities issue in facing up challenges of industrial revolution 4.0. Having human sustainability as the main goal to precede challenges of industrial revolution 4.0, this conference will be part of social and nation development.

​

Industrial Revolution 4.0 or IR 4.0 is transitional era from digital to physical cyber that showcases the ability of machine (robots and automation) to perform task and role that was dominated by human. Consequently, the value of humanity is at stake with the emergence of transhumanism that has changed not only the way of life at individual or community level but also the value and norm of life as human being. The issues on humanity like consciousness, justice and wellbeing is no longer a priority but has changed to speediness, ability, agility, intelligence and achievement. Thus, to precede the challenges of IR 4.0, issues on humanities must be attended wisely.

Human sustainability is also a part of nation social development agenda that emphasizes on equilibrium between humanities and physical to fortify the civilization for the sake of future generation. Social awareness through attitude, behavior and appropriate action is crucial to reinforce the balance of nation development for better future generation and nation.

​

Hence, for this year conference, through knowledge, expertise and experience sharing will help to increase community awareness about the importance of equilibrium between humanity and physical needs as well as to strengthen the connection among academician, researcher and students from multiple universities and country.
